Halal Sushi
Can i make Halal Sushi?
All sea-animals are Haram except for fish. It will be permitted to eat a fish even without slaughtering it according to the rules of Shariah.
However, a fish that dies naturally without an external cause and begins to float on the surface of the water (Samak al-Tafi) is also considered Haram.
So you can eat fish. But not all forms of sushi contain raw fish.
Many sushi rolls contain rice, cooked fish and vegetables. If you're still in doubt you could eat pure vegetable sushi instead, which consists of rice, and vegetables only. Simply make sure that you do not use Mirin or Sake to make your rice as these contain alcohol.
We offers in all of our classes Halal Sushi and vegetarian Sushi.
